The project, delivered by BAM Nuttall and Mott MacDonald JV, has been recognised for its unique approach to balancing economic development, climate resilience and ecological protection. With 17km of modern flood defences and over 80 hectares of new wetland habitats, the project is safeguarding local communities and businesses while supporting biodiversity and job creation across the region.
As part of the judging process, the team will present to a live panel on 19 May, ahead of the awards ceremony taking place in London on 10 July.
Being shortlisted is a great achievement, and a reflection of the hard work, collaboration and innovation that define the ASEA project.
