ASEA Project highly commended at the Flood and Coast Excellence Awards 2024

As we look back on the progress the project has made in 2024, earlier in the summer before the ICE South West Awards dinner, the ASEA Ecology Mitigation and Flood Defence Project was named as ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Climate Resilient Places’ category at the prestigious Flood and Coast Excellence Awards 2024.

The ‘Climate Resilient Places’ award celebrates major flood and coastal erosion risk management initiatives that significantly enhance place-based resilience to flooding and coastal change in a changing climate. Being named ‘Highly Commended’ in this category is a testament to the positive impact the project will have on the area, innovative approaches and collaborative efforts that define the ASEA project.

Due to the election period, the announcement of the award winners was delayed until after the dinner held at the Telford International Centre as part of the Flood & Coast conference in June. The event brought together industry leaders, practitioners, and stakeholders committed to advancing flood risk management and coastal resilience.

This recognition rounds out a successful year for the project, which has also seen us win a hat-trick of accolades at the prestigious Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) South West Civil Engineering Awards.
